A4000 and SCSI issues

The cables were the culprit.  I mean, they only spent 5yrs in a garage 
that regularly hit 38C in the summer.

I had a really great day yesterday, and then, I read your email here 
after spending another hour and a half troubleshooting why the CDROM 
would no longer recognize...

After I had figured everything was good and tested, I pushed the DB-9 
back far enough that it put stress on the cable.  All 3 times I ran into 
"this shit was working fine!" the problems began once I moved the cables.

I'm going to buy some more cables, do you have a brand you'd recommend?  
I'm assuming aliexpress is not to be trusted ROFL
