I have had the same experience with the Minilab MkII, which has serious hardware issues - the encoders use a grease that has dried up in most of the existing stock and results in useless knob skipping.  The solution: Arturia said, replace the knobs.  :(

Pretty weird how this can be screwed up so poorly ..
