The first 3D animation I ever did was with Electrogig/3DGO, a ball  
sprouting particles all over a field .. that was awesome, but took  
frekkin' forever to render .. so I got another couple of Indy's and  
ended up hosting websites on them instead, like a3kcentral,  
samplelibrary, teklab, etc...
