If you only use this device as an 8 channel AD/DA converter, I guess 
you'll get better quality for the same money if you buy a dedicated unit 
(e.g. a Behringer ADA8000 or an Alesis AI3) that don't include the 
Firewire and AES/SPDIF interfaces.
