OSX Aggregate devices

Hello everyone and merry Xmas to you and your family !! :) 

I am thinking to buy a second sound card (Expert Sleepers ES9)  and aggregate it with my RME on my mac mini. 

From Joost point of view, aggregate devices do not work very well (not stable)  … 

In general, Joost is right about those OSX topics, but I would like to know if some of you have experiences in what he says  ?
