The thing was very fiddly.  You had to gain structure the voice VERY carefully, or you got lots of (not good) saturation happening at various stages.   I don’t think I ever worked with a device that was as temperamental.   

There were also lots of QC problems with it.  So it was kind of a crapshoot if you got one of the ‘good’ ones or not.   I had to run the calibration routine on mine regularly or things started to sound off.  

Still, with all that, there were sometimes it just sounded great.   I wouldn’t every pay their current used price for one, but if someone made an affordable, modern version I’d consider it.
