It's a sunny spring day and finally warming up so at the least, we will
get some time in the garden while this thing plays out. I work from
home already and at least for the next bit it seems my work will not be
affected too badly.

On the down side, my wife works at print shop that is not stepping it
up with how they deal with the public (distancing, cleaning, USB keys,
etc.) Today she decided she will start taking vacation days or if they
give too much flak quit. We are definitely lucky with our personal
situation though compared to most.

They finally closed to the Canada / US border for tourism today which
is very late but a positive considering that significant people were
still heading up here from Washington where things are more out of
hand. The Seattle to Victoria ferries are shutdown until at least May
and even the Vancouver to Victoria ferry is significantly cutting
service. All bars, restaurants, theatres, gyms, community centres,
casinos, etc. are closed and gatherings are legally restricted to under
50 as of yesterday though I expect that will go lower. Definitely not
much open beyond that though construction is still gang busters to my
knowledge. Assume that will stop once they run out of supplies.

On the plus side, this is the best thing that could have happened as
far as the environment goes.

Hope everyone stays safe and happy.

Cheers,

Ron
