Subject: VST or AAX or...?

Hi,

So I bought those Arturia instruments some weeks ago; haven't done much
with them yet. As in regards to the type of VST to use on Windows, does
it really make a difference? From VST I know that it's essentially
platform-independent (within the same CPU architecture), but is there a
reason to choose type over the other?

I'm running a 64-bit system, by the way.
