moron - Would love to hear more about what you do with Reaper if you get moved in with it .. its a bloody wonderful bit of software, but I don’t use it nearly enough - because Ardour on UbuntuStudio is *also* a bloody wonderful bit of software.  You should be sure you check it out, because if you don’t you’ll be missing a serious solution to your DAW woes… and be sure, also, to dig into the sheer quantity of amazing plugins and synths and effects that are available for you on UbuntuStudio - like, really, a lot of stuff to check out and some really good plugins, too .. not to mention: all sources available == might be of interest to you.
