One of the best price/speed and price/capacity performers out there is a
1 TB Samsung:

It's the MZHPV512HDGL-00000. Almost four times as fast as my 256 GB
Samsung 830 SSD.
Thing is, is an M.2 device, so you need either a specialised
motherboard, or an adapter to hook it to regular SATA. In the latter
case, though, you won't manage that extreme speed. But I like to think
in terms of future expandability.
