audio monitor stands for a sit/stand desk?

I'm starting to think it's an unrealistic goal to have the monitors be at
ear level whether I'm sitting or standing, mainly because the gap from ears
to desktop is quite different between the two positions.

Maybe I should just get floor standing stands and put them behind the desk.
