Oh put in the thing where you can hook up a bunch of mono synths and play ’em like a poly. That was one thing I thought about a midi pal for but they don’t make ’em anymore. 

(plus using mutable instruments are like cheating so…)

I have even heard interesting things about places like http://www.analoguehaven.com working with module makers and fronting money for production. http://www.schneidersladen.de/de/ would be the euro equivalent.
