MIDI hardware sequencers (was: Re: GAS .. LUST ..)

My thinking was importing midi from a daw to hardware defeats the purpose of the hardware seq in the first place. I usually use hardware to be inspired away from the computer. But I guess it's different for everyone. 

The octatrack is not known to be the most advanced midi sequencer. Capable but it has it's limitations.
