Ok, I was hoping you guys would say "buy the controller"! This way I could blame peer pressure :)

In the absence of any pressure, I decided to buy the controller anyway :(

Should be here in a day or two.

I sold my original Spark controller and don't miss it. I was completely
frustrated with loving the synth engine yet only being able to access 3 of
the 6 engine parameters at any one time. Staring at the 35 knobs knowing
that they could only access 3 of the params at once was just mind
bogglingly stupid!

I now have the V Collection which includes Vintage Spark (VDM). I can
upgrade to 2.0 for 69euro which is a no brainer and I will do it once I
decide about the below:

SparkLE (with hardware controller) is 199euro until the end of June. As
mentioned, I found the previous controller a waste of time. The new
controller still only allows you to control 3 parameters at once but at
least now there are 3 sound knobs so you are not left screaming "so many
knobs yet so little control!!!"

Im digressing.. Yes, v2 looks fantastic. Spark is an incredible old
school feeling drum machine. AndrewT compared to a Tempest (which I also
owned) but to me, Spark is far better that the Tempest, both in interface
and in sheer analogue sound..

Bugger.. I really don't need another drum machine..
