This way I could blame peer pressure :)<br><br>In the absence of any pressure, I decided to buy the controller anyway :(<br><br>Should be here in a day or two.<br><br>Paul<br>London<br>www.punkdisco.co.uk<br><br><br></div></div><div dir="ltr"><hr><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-weight: bold;">From: </span><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;"><a href="mailto:forums@punkdisco.co.uk">foRUMS 4 punkdISCO</a></span><br><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-weight: bold;">Sent: </span><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">12/05/2014 20:41</span><br><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-weight: bold;">To: </span><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;"><a href="mailto:music-bar@lists.music-bar.org">'Music-bar'</a></span><br><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-weight: bold;">Subject: </span><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">RE: Spark 2..</span><br><br></div>I sold my original Spark controller and don't miss it. I was completely<br>frustrated with loving the synth engine yet only being able to access 3 of<br>the 6 engine parameters at any one time. Staring at the 35 knobs knowing<br>that they could only access 3 of the params at once was just mind<br>bogglingly stupid!<br><br>I now have the V Collection which includes Vintage Spark (VDM). I can<br>upgrade to 2.0 for 69euro which is a no brainer and I will do it once I<br>decide about the below:<br><br>SparkLE (with hardware controller) is 199euro until the end of June. As<br>mentioned, I found the previous controller a waste of time. The new<br>controller still only allows you to control 3 parameters at once but at<br>least now there are 3 sound knobs so you are not left screaming "so many<br>knobs yet so little control!!!"<br><br>Im digressing.. Yes, v2 looks fantastic. Spark is an incredible old<br>school feeling drum machine. AndrewT compared to a Tempest (which I also<br>owned) but to me, Spark is far better that the Tempest, both in interface<br>and in sheer analogue sound..<br><br>Bugger.. I really don't need another drum machine..<br><br>Paul<br>London<br>www.punkdisco.co.uk<br></body></html>
