Music on Android: still crap?

Its an architectural thing, actually, stopping Android from being good for music. Android has all sorts of latencies built in to it .. whereas iOS attempts to make things as performant as possible for music/video/media, Android designers took a ‘good enough’ approach. Once the stream starts things get into sync but there are no guarantees about when that happens in Android.

There has been quite some complaining about this issue, so its rumored to be something that will be addressed in a near-future release. In the meantime, just forget about using Android for music-making - it works but you’ll be frustrated by the latencies involved.
