so, if you buy "switching" sockets, you should be able to resolve this

I'm a bit confused about the problem...
you have TWO CVs, you want to control the same thing?
if so, you *can* do it with diodes, but it's ugly and will cause a voltage drop.
It would be better to do it with a summing, non inverting, buffer op-amp.
