I have found a lot of recorders for analog input signals, with or without microphones (I have a Zoom H2n already), but nothing with a digital input. Any advice? This option should be cheapish, otherwise I'd rather go for option B)
Hi Martin,
I used the Marantz PMD-670 a lot. it looks like a portable DAT-recorder but records on CF cards. it has an SPDIF input.
it's a bit dated and CF is expensive compared to SD, but it does a good job.
I need to get mine cleaned after a battery leaked inside recently...
Currently I am using the H4n with an external input to make 4 track recordings, usually a room with the internal mics and a board with external input, then mix them to taste.
