another thing just came to mind. maybe you'd like to visit a strange park that was designed by the same landscaper who made central park:

it's very beautiful (and not really that overflowing with tourists). I was told les surrealistes parisienne met there often in the 1910/20s.

I was there in 2006 and loved it.
