OpenBox is pretty small - I just wonder how to activate it?
The past Ubuntu-releases I knew (pre 8.xx) offered a menu at the login point where the gui was to pick from.
Now I can't find it anywhere, after installing it.

So I suggest you consider a similar path if the Unity bloat is beginning to bother you - its not so hard to switch to a different desktop environment, fortunately, and still get all the latest benefits of running Ubuntu (btw, you should be using the Studio variety for all its repository wonders..)
