M-185 Step Sequencer is out!! $35!

Okay, its not hardware but, super sexy:

This sequencer has the HOT functionality I sometimes mention: Pulse Counts.
Watch the video and read the "Stages" section of the manual to understand
this simple but powerful feature.  Basically:

 

-          Can have 1-8 steps, or "stages"

-          Each stage has a "Pulse Count" of 1 to 8 clock pulses

-          Each stage has one of four gate modes:

o   Mute

o   Single note

o   Multi Note

o   Hold Note

Which occur for the number of clock pulses defined above

 

Example:

Simple 1 Stage sequence with 8 clock pulses.

                Mute - silent (obviously)

                Single - 1 note plays then rest for 7 pulses

                Multi - note repeats 8 times (this is the one that makes the
fun start!)

                Hold - note plays then holds for 7 pulses
