Weird oil leaking from electronics device?

Condensation sounds (and looks) about right.  I am thinking that it
could have been in the (unheated) cargo hold of a FedEx plane and
gotten cooled off enough to build condensation on it when it landed
and was put on a hot truck.  The oily feel of it could just be from
residue left on the boards from manufacturing.
