Additional: working with aluminium is like working with a very hard wood 
(not in your pants) I used a jigsaw, files and sandpaper grades up to 
1000, a jig-a-doo on a lathe with a velcro pad for sanding discs for 
flat surface sanding and shaping, and a drill press for holes.
Shines up very quick.

Tapping aluminium is not so easy, mistakes were made..
