Depends a bit on your room. Both my sister and a good friend of mine 
have a 42" screen, and it would be way too big for our living room.

We have a 23" HD-ready screen now (unfortunately TN technology) and I 
find that a bit too small, but 32" to 37" would suit us just fine.
