As M@ says, this is a good option.  You may also look for construction
site waste.  Often, when they build out offices, they just throw away
any spools of cable they didnt completely use.  Ive got a 250ft spool
of CAT5e with about 120 ft or so left on it, because they just left it
at our office after they renovated this floor.  Ridiculously wasteful!
