You could use a second hand Denon UDM3 or it's sibling UDM30 UDM31 etc.
They are good quality mini hifi systems with CD and tuner.  I have a
UDM3 and a UDM30. The CD players often go on them so you can pick these
broken ones up from ebay for 30 squid or so.
