Hi Romain,
Great contributions and I'd submit both! Classic Romain!
"Trip" is thick and dark but I find is missing some high frequency
energy and brightness making it sound "shut in" and muddy. Maybe roll
off some bass too? The vocals need to come up a lot more though. It
reminded me of "Richard Wahnfried" the Arthur Baker vocals on Klaus
Schulze tracks from the early 80!
Eye Flowers needs the vocals up a lot more too. Perhaps it's more
compression on the vocals - you will always need loads! - that's needed
as you have a reasonable dynamic range with your vocal style. This is a
very interesting song and I like it a lot. Needs brightening up again
as it's a little flat sounding. This is probably best done at the
mastering stage though.
Cheers
Chris

Hi guys ,
This is what I tried to do for RPM .
One is made only by me ( the first one) ...
It s a bit weird as usual ...
http://www.fractales12.com/yiotu/rmp2009trip1_g.mp3
And this one is made with a friend (tom) who does some scratching and
play some keys ...
http://www.fractales12.com/yiotu/eyesflowers.mp3
I hope it s not too much weird tho ...
I let you the choice to pick one of the two for the rpm 2009 album ...
In general I used :
Logic 8 (Utrabeat, EFM1, Pro 53 FX, Absynth, ES2, EXS24)
EX5, kaassilator,Bass,Acoustic Guitar.
I know it s far to be perfect but advices are welcome as usual ...
Cheers ...
Thx
Romain
