Sounds to me like Facebook don't want to have the case where a user 
quits and demands that all his/her content gets removed.

We get this once in a while on a forum that we run, and then we point 
out that (a) we're not going to do it because (b) everything on the site 
has a Creative Commons license, including everything you post on the forum.
