As long as it's consistent, then it would be okay. Pressure sensitive 
(resistive) sensors work okay - as used in the keyboard for the EMS Synthi and 
used to play the synth melodies (for example) on Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were 
Here". It doesn't really matter what the feel is, as long as one can anticipate 
and adjust to it and still get the notes to start at the right time. Capacitive 
might be more tricky, because build-up of grease etc can change the activation 
threshold. Never gonna be like a piano, but, this is a synth, where expression 
comes from plenty of other parameters other than touch. If the note can start 
when intended, to within a few ms, then, it would rock, in its own, spaced-out 
kinda way :)
