Yes - there are actually a ton of samplers being sold today: Have a look 
at the workstation market, the nord wave, or at products like the 
Electribes. I don't expect a resurrection of the old 3U rack format 
samplers like the E4* or Akai S* series, because these are mostly studio 
tools, an area which is now much better served by PCs (particularly the 
sample manipulation bits which is simply a pain on a tiny display).

But even if you want something for the rack, there are products like the 
Roland Fantom-XR or the V-Synth XT that offer sampling facilities 
perfectly compatible with a live rig.
