I can relate to that, dude.  I too now realise that 90% of a synths value to
me is the interface. The other 10% is the sound. (don't very quote me on
those figures as Im likely to change them wildly!!)

But I know what you are saying: inspiration is also 95% (see above
disclaimer) of what makes a track. If your approach inspires you, to some it
might sound anal, but fuck it!  It's the result that matters and if it gives
you the drive, then it is absolutely correct..
