MPC-style pad controllers for use with live

I would stay clear of the Akai stuff. The drivers cause a random reboot
with no information in any logs or blue screens to hint at the issue. I
only discovered it was the Akai after several rebuilds when I couldn't find
my driver disk and went to download the new one. The latest version on the
site says that it fixes the problem. My experience shows that if anything,
the new driver is worse. To be really infuriating, it would reboot my
system even when I wasn't doing anything remotely related to the pad.
Email, Office, playing games or MP3s, surfing etc. I'm picking up the Korg
as I've always been a junky for their joystick and control pads. As always,
your mileage may vary...
