audio distortions after recording

He didn't hear the distortion in his headphones while recording. 
The headphones were connected to the OctaPre.

No, because the problem only starts to appear after some time.

Is it "skipping" or zippering caused by ASIO

Well, that is what we are trying to find out. He has been stupid 
enough to unsubscribe the bar, so now I have to be his middle man ;-)
