whats really fun is just how well everything just plain works.   
there's really very little hacking-around on the EEE PC distro - okay  
its not the best debian-derived distro in the world, but since ASUS  
have put all the effort to make sure all the components work, out of  
the box, you can pretty much do what you want with it.  i'm going to  
spend the evening putting Linux MiNT on it, which is like a better- 
configured ubuntu, with all the ASUS drivers .. and a realtime kernel.

one thing, if you do get it, definitely get a 2 gig RAM upgrade as  
well .. makes a huge difference to the graphics abilities ..
