okay, i've not pierced the 1Gig barrier .. all my files that I've  
used with it so far are 300 to 800 megs in size .. i'll try a bigger  
jam session file later and see if it crashes.

how much RAM do you have?

i'm [close] to registering Snapper .. i'm only holding back because  
i'm considering getting rid of the macbook and going back to a 100%  
linux lifestyle ..
