8Bit - The new Mssiah

Talking of 8bitness, has anyone had any experiences with the old Prophet64
cartridge for the Commodore64?  They have just released a new version that
includes MIDI and at 49euro, it's a bit of a steal..

The only thing that puts me off is the fact the you have to have a monitor
rigged up to the C64.  Would any monitor work?  I have an old LCD that is
never going to do any other than sit in a cupboard..
