hehe, thanks - it's not quite what I'm looking for:
The matrix would be mounted behind a MOTM front panel in conjunction  
with other electronics.

Originally we were discussing sort of an uber-filter, i.e. freely  
configurable filter poles with morphable configurations.
This would require a bunch of inverting VCAs, at least at the matrix's  
I/Os which is 2x16 on a 16x16 matrix.

But knowing the effort behind this I think a more generic approach  
makes sense, since the resulting unit could be used whereever she/he  
wants.

(so James could use it for his SDDs if it already existed  ;-)
