Didn't try any effects as I was using my wifes macbook and was gobsmacked
it recorded 16 tracks without seeming to break a sweat.
Delay wise, I didn't notice any, I had it setup ;-

Guitar -> amp -> Mic (x2) -> phonic -> Logic 8 -> Phonic -> headphones

All sounded good to me :-)
