Wolfgang Voigt will re-release his old GAS albums and EPs in
a boxed set on his own label, Kompakt Records {Mille
Plateaux, the label his GAS project called home, has since
folded}.  GAS samples and quotes Wagner and Berg, enfolding 
orchestral passages in warm reverb and subtle hiss to evoke
the German forests and countryside hinted at in the titles:
Zauberberg.  Koenigsfoerst.  Propelling it all is an
insistent bass pulse that miraculously never gets old.

I consider it essential.  I already own the old releases,
but I'll buy the boxed set, anyway.
