Definitely not more beer. :)

Pharmacies should be selling like 90% alcohol. People I know use it to 
clean models before spray painting, when the object needs to be really 
clean.

Try it out on something else first, if you're not sure. I have no 
experience whatsoever with this, so don't take my word for it. But 
alcohol shouldn't damage anything, unless you drink it.
