Again though at least for the US I haven't seen any behavior that is
that different than the way the market works here. You always get
locked down into contracts. It's unfortunate but it's the way it is.
What apple has the ability to do here is get people excited about the
devices they use, when the devices become more important than the
networks I think you will see more freedom, but unfortunately they
have to play within the system for now, they want everyone begging
them to make their devices available on other networks. This may be a
stretch but Ironically it's sort of like what Microsoft did with IBM,
freed the software from the hardware, maybe apple can help free the
hardware/software from the networks.
