The are points I agree on, and a few I dont.  The 'never use presets'
argument is one that I find stupid.  If the song calls for a generic
synth pad, and there is a preset that exactly matches what I want in
the track should I honestly create my own patch almost identicle to
the first just so that I can say 'its not a preset'?  Thats rediculous
imho.

One point I really agree on, and hate myself for doing far to much of:
over looping.  Not much you can say about it, really.  The Human ear
is sensitive to repetition, and we can tell when everything is just on
a loop.

Points I would add:

1.  Putting as many parts in as the song needs and no more/no less.

2.  leave *some* dynamics in the track.  I get tired of listening to
audio bricks.

3.  Accept criticism gracefully.

4.  Dont release tracks just because you can.
