For me, not needed.  With my modular, I treat my DAW like a big tape recorder.  I’m not interested in that level of automaton.  Just basic clock and note values will do fine.  I use a Hexinverter Electronic Mutant Brains for that and I’m quite happy.

Looks nice :), indeed more VCA would be needed.
You never thought about the Expert Sleepers ES9 ???  I wonder what Barians think about this module ?

Tony: I might switch the SLAMPLER for a Morphogene, which is why I’ve got the smaller  sample player there.  Also, I might start a small utility rack in the near future….

I agree with Michael.  You need a few more VCAs in there at least (though don’t go crazy).  If I were you, I’d drop the wave player since you have the SQUID sample.  I’d also consolidate the Functions into a Maths module.   You’ll get a lot of functionality there.

I’d also drop the FX module.   Its only 4 hp, but my experience is that these FX modules are not very good or useful.   You’re better off getting a good IO module (like the 4ms Listen) so you can easily patch to external effects.

What do you guys think - anything stand out as odd or missing?  The purpose of this rig will be to function as both a rythmn/soundscape workstation and as well a “normal” synth voice rig.

If I can pull off a couple of mini tracks with it: drums plus maybe 3 independent voices - I’ll be happy, while also having ample processing/effects  for the wilder soundscape patching.

Actually it’s pretty wild and soundscape’ish with just the top row gear in place already but I yearn to fill the gaps and add a few more utility and weird options.  And I’m getting a bit sick of seeing the Behringer logo I have to admit.

Actually I’m considering swapping the SALMPLE with a Morphagene, not quite decided yet, one of my fellow jam mates has one he is threatening to sell, so I might pick it up next…

This is all rigged up to an SH101 and Deluge for keys/sequencing, btw.  Thought about adding a sequencer module but it’ll be redundant for a while…

What do you think?  Swap some things?
