For a while it was off-putting to me as well, but as I’ve  grown into it I’ve found it kind of funky and fun .. it certainly does take a bit of eye-bleed to get used to, though.

Amazing new update recently, added a couple new filters and OSC models .. just like the good old days of the Virus ..
