Same to you Jay, and everyone else here as well. I second the thanks to Joost for hosting this summer as the change to meet again in person was fantastic. I'm sure there'll be more to come.
Happy holidays to you all.
Cheers,mohsen

.. another year flies by and we are all still here on the music-bar … kind of Incredible isn’t it, the -bar feels like a fixture frame around our lives, somehow we still find it valuable to huddle here in the forgotten corners of the internet, and every year I reflect on why and what this little community means to me, and I am grateful for each and every one of you and what you offer to this hobbyist musicians life, in terms of feedback, suggestions, insight and yes .. even a little political intrigue now and then .. we’ve seen though it all, thick and thin, and still the door is open just a tad for newcomers and old timers alike to get in here, hang out, argue and agree and so on.
Thank you Joost, for keeping it all going and for the years high time event in The Hague this summer. I treasure these little jaunts to catch up as they have punctuated my life over decades now, and I find it always so refreshing to meet other -bar members face to face and find ourselves aligned - or not - on so many issues of the day, yet still we remain somehow respectful of our responsibility to communicate long distance or across the beers alike. I guess it’s the potential for music-making that makes it all so easy to tolerate - after all there are very few music-bar disagreements that cannot be solved with a track or two. Or an album. It was fun to help you build your rig and settle into your new studio pad, man. I hope we hear a lot more from those machines of yours this year too.
Here in Vienna, while I’ve been a fixture at the more professional high end studio (Sky Studios), I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed building my new setup this year, with contemporary gear and modern toys… and now I inch closer to having a functional new studio of my own again, at last, in which to push all the buttons and twist all the knobs, old and new. I’ll be revamping things and organizing the rig again over the next few months and may also have a couple of releases to offer, too. The new space is ripe and ready and now it’s just a matter of consolidating my gear and getting it rigged up, and you can be sure there will be reports in this subject in the weeks to come… hasn’t been since Teklab in LA that I’ve personally had the space to do my own stuff, and with the kids hitting the tee zone now is the time for me to return to my album projects and get some things done. For sure it’s going to be fun exploring the vocal/analog side of life, armed as I am with all the tools my workplace has to offer…
Anyway, Happy Holidays to you, music-bar. I hope you are safe and warm and content by the side of your loved ones and taking care to start 2022 in good health and high spirits. I’m grateful for this group and it’s individuals and I hope music-bar sees 2022 through in the typical style for which we have all become somewhat acquainted…
