I actually have this exact same one on my iMac (2015 intel retina). It works very well. No issues.

I use and swear by this hub at work:
https://i-tec.pro/en/produkt/u3chargehub16-2/<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi-tec.pro%2Fen%2Fprodukt%2Fu3chargehub16-2%2F&data=04%7C01%7C%7C4d2da922a9b94aca8f4a08d9ba283de4%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637745504265488054%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=75YrPIlt4XxhKTpBbsI3%2F3igxr%2BE4OL2JOM7jbmbGF0%3D&reserved=0>
It is easily the best usb hub I’ve ever encountered… 16 ports, powered, individual switches for each port. Very useful for debugging and development. They have a USB-C version too, but more than likely you’ve got USB3.0< devices to use too.
Anyway I can definitely vouch for i-tec hubs… we have them all over the place now, they’ve become the standard company hub and has smoothed out a lot of issues we were having during development with power brownouts, bad enumeration, and so on.

Hey -bar,
So I got a brand spankin new shiny MBP, and everything is well, except I still struggle from a tiny lack of USB power.
Any USB-C hub recommendations, preferably with an external power supply? I got a cheapo AliExpress one, but it caused more mayhem.
Use case: MBP 16” plugged into two LG 5K Thunderbolt displays. One of the two is powering the MBP (I don’t know which one!). I have too many peripherals plugged in. Some external USB-C disks, audio interface, USB-C mike, Komplete MIDI keyboard, charging an iPad etc… basically I’m going over what the internal PSU’s of my displays can deliver and I momentarily lose a USB hub (have to unplug / plug). It even means that I’ve had one of the webcams in the LG display disappear in the middle of a video call when my Time Capsule HDD started backup-ing :)
Cheers,
