Adding Pittsburgh Modular Series Microvolt 3900 to the jam room: any tips?

Yeah, this is a “stocking stuffer” kind of opportunity, but I think 3900+Neutron will be a good base.

That said, the 2600 clone, the 2500 series modules and their Roland system 100 are really, really good.  They do more than simply copy the original circuits, and the build quality is greatly improved.   If you have the space, I highly recommend the 2600. 



Ben of Restless Ear Syndrome has the 2600, it is indeed impressive.  Crazy times to see kids learning it as their first synth...
