Ah yeah, right.  Still, JUCE is but one of a number of similar frameworks out there that can be commoditised in applications, and then hosted on custom hardware.

Which is the direction I think audio should go.  The OS incumbents are balls, there’s no need to keep propping them up.  Not with hardware being what it is today.
