going live

Hello,

If all goes well, it looks like I'll be able to play a couple of gig's
with my latest release in autumn.

This leads to some technical issues... as:
I don't want to take a laptop on stage (hate it),
I will be doing it alone,

It will go like this;
I'll be (ahum) singing
There will be a small modular rig for some live tweaking
There will be a sampling pad for the occasional fx loop/sample triggering.
There needs to be something that can send patch changes and midi clk to
my vocal FX (Boss SE-50) and sampling pad.

I was thinking of getting a multi tracker/player with midi.
The idea is to have all songs ready and cue'ed up. (between 30 and 50
minutes/gig)
The songs have a main mix out + additional 1 or 2 tracks direct out
which I can 'modify' live on a small modular rig.
Mixing will be done by a friend (not on stage and only wants to do the
mixing, nothing else)

Any idea on a multi tracker? Or are there other solutions to reach the
same result?

Additional bonus question, I got someone who's working on some visual
aids (call it a movie)
What does one need to have 'the movie' synchronized to the music?

Well, that's it. Pretty basic, no?
Thanks for your pointers...
