Quick question about clips in session view.

Imagine you have an audio track with audio in a couple of scenes. On 
that audio you have an audio effects.
One of the knobs of the audio effect is in position x in the first 
scene, but should be in position x+50 in the second scene. How does one 
do that without using automation? I want to be able to change this knob 
while playing the scene.

This should be pretty obvious, but alas I can't find the answer to this 
one...
